Client Overview: SacValley MedShare (SVMS) is a designated Qualified Health Information Organization (QHIO), serving healthcare providers and insurers throughout California. Its mission: securely share medical data across the state to improve coordination of care, streamline treatment, and make patient health journeys seamless. Based in Northern California, SVMS acts as a bridge between rural providers and vital health information, with a service model rooted in accessibility and trust.
The Challenge: SVMS approached us with frustration over its outdated website. The previous design felt overly corporate—dominated by gray tones, unclear calls to action, and a layout that struggled to guide visitors effectively. As a heavy-content platform, SVMS needed structure, clarity, and a visual presence that reflected the community driven spirit of Northern California.
The Process: Through collaborative discovery sessions, detailed research, and consistent communication with the SVMS team, we developed a completely reimagined website experience. Our team led design, development, and ongoing maintenance & hosting, incorporating UX and SEO principles from the start. Every phase of the project was approved and refined in partnership with the client to ensure full alignment with their vision.
The Solution: We rebuilt SacValley MedShare’s website from the ground up, applying a strategic content hierarchy to organize extensive resources in a way that felt intuitive and human. Medical documents and PDFs are now easily accessible, CTAs are purposeful, and the interface feels fresh yet grounded. To reflect the organization’s rural roots, we used custom imagery and warm, nature inspired visual elements that bring Northern California to life.
The Results: SacValley MedShare now has a revitalized website that simplifies dense healthcare content while reflecting the rural character of its region. With a clearer user journey, accessible resources, and a distinct visual tone, the new site better supports SVMS’s mission and resonates with both providers and patients alike.
